This is the stuff I find interesting about life, writing, and Berkeley.

***GOING THROUGH INTENSE REVISIONS AT ODYSSEY***

THEME DESIGN BY JAMESLREDFIELD

There’s a black rabbit sitting in my yard right now. I have NEVER seen that happen before. Usually the bunnies are all wild grass-colored.

24 hours to make everything at home right.

Just dawned on me. 2 days until I move in.

Moving to Berkeley in 4 days… So restless! I feel like I can’t do anything, but there’s still so much stuff to do! (the least of which is packing)

This week, a lot of lasts are going to happen.

Some of them already did, and I almost didn’t realize it. In the middle of my 2nd dance class this morning, I realized it was the last Saturday (in 3 years) that I’d spend dragging myself out of bed after 4 hours of sleep for my 3-Classes-In-A-Row-Marathon. For many weeks in the last year and a half of high school, those 3 classes in a row kept me going when on any other day, I didn’t want to get up. This morning was the last time I’ll feel that awesome seemingly non-ending adrenaline rush, or fall asleep in the hot shower after, or cross that one street to eat French toast and scrambled eggs with my mom.

Okay, these are not definite lasts cause I’m coming home again sometime…but they are the last time these things will be the norm, rather than the exception.

Are there better things waiting in the future? Probably. But saying goodbye is still hard. :(

Dad: Do you have any idea where I am?
Me: No. Where are you?
Dad: I'm standing in the middle of 8 tennis courts. And they're empty.
Me: Yeah. And?
Dad: The sun is bright.
Me: Uh huh.
Dad: And the sun is beautiful.
Me: Yeah, so?
Dad: The sun is HOT.
Me: And?
Dad: I'm calling you to tell you that.
Me: Okay?
Dad: I'm going to practice some serves now. Bye.

So my Dad just called me at 12 a.m. (my time not China time)

Wow, really powerful.

The Future Is Ours – remarkable, necessary short film by Michael Marantz pays tribute to those pushing humanity forward and reminds us that the future is, indeed, in our hands.

Twisted my leg sneezing.

I was sitting in Barnes and Noble listening to scary music and reading a really intense article about metaphysics when my grandma tapped me on the shoulder to ask, “Where is the bathroom?”

I literally jumped out of my seat.

Now this dude is laughing at me. Oh well. Back to work.

Cool story, bro, I know.
